Veterinary Science at Grayson Technical Program
The Grayson Technical Education Program is a magnet-type elective option within Gwinnett County Public School. Located in the Grayson/Loganville area, the program courses are open to 11th and 12th grade students within Gwinnett County. Veterinary Science is one of 12 disciplines offered at Grayson Tech, which is situated on the campus of Grayson High School. The program focuses on domesticated animals, such as dogs, cats, cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, and goats. Veterinary Science is a three-class program, with the first semester course being Animal Science and the second semester course being Animal Production & Management, the thru semester course is Environmental Science and Equine Science. Students who take this program have an introduction to animal husbandry and can go on to anything from a Veterinary Technology program at a two-year college to an Animal Science/Animal Health program at a four-year college when they finish high school.
